In 1984, over 200 rough stones were all put together in a condominium called CDSS at Ikeja Military Cantonment. The motive, to brush and sharpen them to becoming a fine material. Some did not complete the process, some were added to process. Five years plus, heating and drilling, we became a solid base for onward transportation to the world. In 1989, we all were dispersed by our basic classification for further pruning and seasoning all over the globe. As time and chance happened, we lost some unfortunately, but a lot survived. Today, we are all precious metals and rare jewels in their industry, society and homes. The CDSSIOSA Class of 89 regrouped and a WhatsApp group was established on the 17th of February 2017. The aim was to CONTACT & CONNECT with friends, COMMUNICATE ideas & information, COMMUNE together & be the CHANGE agent for our alma-mata and society.
The mission of CDSSIOSA Class of 89 is to foster a lifelong relationship between our alma mater and its old students while contributing to the growth and development of the school and society through service, mentorship, and financial support.
To be a united, impactful, and globally connected alumni class that continually gives back, supports its members, and leaves a lasting legacy at Command Day Secondary School Ikeja.
Our commitment to CDSS Ikeja is ongoing. As the needs of the school evolve, so will our projects. We remain dedicated to building a sustainable future for the school and preserving the legacy of the Class of 1989.
